D'Lux Corrina   "Corrina"
Oh, Happy Day!!!!
I have been adopted.
My new people love me so much & I get to play.
I have my own family.
How wonderful!!!
Thank you everyone for helping me find a "forever Home"
The road in front of the shelter was under construction & the caution marker blinked on the corner. As I
looked closer there was something at the base - a puppy!!  Since it was so close to the road, I was afraid to
move too quickly & startle the pup into the traffic which was mere inches from her head.
But I didn't need to fear. She had already been hit & was lying there, waiting to die.
She had broken bones in her rear hip & in a spiral fracture in her front leg
She was taken to 3 different vets before we could find one who felt comfortable doing the spiral fracture.
When she was checked into the vet, she didn't have a name yet & the vet logged her in as HBC (hit by Car)
After a long surgery & an even longer recuperation, she was a happy, healthy puppy.
It's the sweet little dogs like Corrina that stretch our budget to the breaking point. Her surgery alone
emptied our coffers & meant that our staff had to pay the bills in order to save her life.

Your donations mean so much to the little ones like Corrina!!!
